AS 14.17.470 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (b) The department shall annually adjust the base student allocation to reflect the change in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers for the Anchorage metropolitan area compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, United States Department of Labor. The index for January 2018 is the reference base index." Renumber the following bill section accordingly. Representative Parish moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There was objection. Representative Parish moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Wilson: Page 1, line 1 (title amendment): Delete "the base student allocation" Insert "public school funding" 2018-04-13 House Journal Page 3246 Page 1, lines 3 - 5: Delete all material and insert: "* Section 1. AS 14.17 is amended by adding a new section to read: Sec. 14.17.475. Public school funding supplement. In addition to other school funding available under this chapter, the department shall annually distribute to each school district an amount equal to $100 for each student counted under AS 14.17.500 in the district for the previous fiscal year." Representative Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Representative Gara objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?"
